I'm an author, and so when I knew I wanted to grow my online presence and monetize my expertise, I wanted something easy to use. I’ve been using Kajabi for a little over 3 years now and I couldn’t be happier. Here’s everything that is included in their platform:

Kajabi is available at 3 different price points depending on your business size and needs. It’s worth noting that there is a 20% discount available when you opt for an annual plan versus a month-to-month plan.
Regardless of which plan you choose, and whether you pay monthly or annually, these features will always be included with your Kajabi:

Kajabi Pro is the absolute top-level offering from Kajabi. It includes the most features as well as the most customization options.
For most people early on in their business ventures, this will likely be more than you need. However, you do always have the option to upgrade along the way – which their support team handles 100% (I upgraded from their Basic to Growth plans about a year in).

When you put into context the fact that most of the businesses using Kajabi Pro are doing $1,000,000+ in revenue, this plan becomes an absolute steal. For comparison, if you wanted to reach 100,000 contacts using Mailchimp with the same level of customization that Kajabi allows, you'd be paying at least $699/month - and remember, that's only to send emails.
Kajabi Growth: $199/month or $1,908/year ($159/month at annual rate)
The next level of features is called Kajabi Growth. This option is also advertised as Kajabi’s most popular level, and for good reason. You get a host of components to choose from along with all of the basic features that make Kajabi so impressive.

Kajabi Basic: $149/month or $1,428/year ($119/month at annual rate)
Finally, the Kajabi Basic plan is meant for those at the very start of their journey who may not know exactly what they want to build, but know that online business is somewhere they want to be.
This is where I started and I was impressed by how many options I still had available. I didn't upgrade until I was making $1,000+/month consistently.

Kajabi Basic had everything I needed to grow an idea into a real online income. My first course launch went better than expected and led to me offering higher-priced consulting gigs as well – both of which I run directly through Kajabi’s products, offers, and email.
Is Kajabi Worth the Money?
This is a question I get asked quite often, especially from the people just starting out, and my answer is always yes. To give you an idea of what it would cost to run my current author business before Kajabi, here’s a quick list of my expenses:
- Mailchimp: $29/month
- Squarespace: $18/month
- Teachable: $99/month
- WebinarJam: $40/month
- ClickFunnels: $97/month
- Leadpages: $37/month
- Zapier: $25/month
That comes out to about $345/month, not to mention the time it takes to learn, integrate, and use 7 separate software tools.
By switching from this complex suite of tools to Kajabi Basic, I saved an average of $226/month or $2,712/year. That’s a lot of money back in your pocket when you’re first starting out.
But what if you're business uses fewer tools, is it still worth it?
Of course, this depends on you. The reason it was worth it for me is that I wanted a simpler business. I wanted to only use 1 tool and I wanted that tool to facilitate my growth as an author. If I want to build a new course tomorrow, I can do that. If I want to test 8 new funnel and email combinations, I can do that too – all within a single platform.
My advice is to figure out what’s important to you.
Where do you want to spend your time and money for your business? What do you want each day to look like? And where, ideally, do you want to be in 5 years? Pick the platform that most aligns with these answers and you’ll be golden.
If you’re researching an online platform to build your business with, it’s likely you’re going to see a lot of versus articles, such as Kajabi vs. Teachable, Kajabi vs. ClickFunnels, Kajabi vs. Karta, or Kajabi vs. Thinkific.
It's important to keep in mind that in many of these cases the writers are comparing apples to oranges, so it's not exactly a fair competition. For example, Teachable hosts courses and accepts payments. That's all it does. Therefore, comparing it to a platform like Kajabi that also allows you to build websites, create funnels, send emails, and more is unfair.
Just something to keep in mind as you sort through your options.
